The mosaic tiles are first packed into cardboard boxes which are then stacked in large wooden crates. The cardboard containing the mosaic tiles not only provides extra cushioning, but also prevents friction between the mosaic tiles. To make them water resistant, the final crate is laminated using thick polythene sheets.
