History of the LOCTITE brand
LOCTITE is an American-owned brand of adhesives, sealants and surface treatments, including acrylic, anaerobic, cyanoacrylate, epoxy, hot melt, silicone, urethane and UV/light cure technologies. Loctite products are sold globally and used in a variety of industrial applications.
In 1953, American professor Vernon K. Krieble developed an anaerobic thread sealant in his basement laboratory at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
