X'traseal SN-506 Fire Resistant Silicone Sealant is a one-component, high modulus, neutral silicone sealant with fire resistance. SN-506 Fire Resistant Silicone Sealant helps control the spread of fire, smoke, and toxic gases in fire areas. The sealant can withstand fire for up to 240 minutes.

Construction calculation

The cross section of the glue line should be calculated based on the compression and expansion ratio of the glue suitable for the required construction width and the expansion of the gap during use after construction.

The general formula for calculating the cross section of SN-506 fireproof glue should be based on a maximum tolerance of ± 30% for compression and expansion.

The compression and expansion of the glue line should not be less than 10mm to accommodate movement. The depth of the joint should be 0.5 to 1 in ratio to width.

The appropriate ratio between thickness and width is: 10mm x 20mm

• Minimum size is 3mm x 3mm
• Maximum size is 30mm

Construction

• Clean dust and dry surface.
• Remove excess material and smooth the work area.
• Use support tools to avoid spillage outside the work area.
• Cut nozzle to desired size.
• Insert the glue bottle into the glue gun.
• Extrude the glue evenly onto the surface.
• Construction and editing within 5 minutes.
• Clean off excess glue with MEK or Toluene.

Drying time

SN-506 fireproof glue dries to a surface after 15 minutes and dries to a depth of 11mm after 7 days. The curing time may be longer depending on the weather and humidity of each area.
