Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) is a hydrophilic crystalline admixture used to make concrete permanently waterproof.

KIM reduces the permeability of concrete and is used in place of a surface applied waterproofing membrane. By blocking the passage of water through the concrete, KIM adds durability and longevity to the concrete by protecting it against chemical attack and corrosion of steel reinforcement.

KIM contains Krystol technology. When added to concrete, Krystol reacts chemically with water and unhydrated cement particles to form insoluble needle-shaped crystals that fill pores and micro-cracks in the concrete and block the passage of water and contaminants. Whenever moisture is present throughout the life of the concrete, the material will begin to crystallize, ensuring permanent waterproof protection.
