APPLICATION

This is one of the products for the special floor system of mizone waterproofing . To reinforce the floor surface and concrete slabs, to increase the abrasion resistance and thus minimize the formation of dust.

CONSTRUCTION INSTRUCTIONS

SURFACE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT:

Immediately after the concrete surface reaches plasticity (after the concrete has drained but before it has begun to set) smooth the newly poured concrete surface and level the surface with a tamping scale.

CONSTRUCTION:

Sprinkle the Mizone ^® Floor Chapdur mixture “by hand” onto the still wet and leveled concrete surface at a rate of 3-6 kg/m ² . Allow the Mizone ^® Floor Chapdur to absorb moisture from the concrete surface and while still wet, use a floor trowel to smooth the Mizone ^® Floor Chapdur surface.

FLATTING:

As soon as the mixture becomes plastic or when it is about to set, carry out the first leveling with a trowel running at low speed but with a metal blade attached at a minimum angle. The final leveling (if necessary) should be carried out some time later but with the trowel running at high speed.

MAINTENANCE:

Mizone ^® Floor Chapdur mixed surfaces must be protected from rapid water loss as this may cause surface cracking. An approved curing system must therefore be applied.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES/LIMITATIONS:

When applying the product, dry powder form, do not do so during strong winds.

Properties of the concrete ingredients such as water content and cement quality may cause slight colour variations. Some colour variation during the drying of the concrete is normal for this system and is acceptable.

Dry shake floor hardeners will produce a concrete finish that will have some color variation throughout the entire surface. This is due to the natural variations in the concrete on which the product has been applied.

At high relative humidity, phenomena such as water separation, slow curing, prolonged finishing time and slow hardening of concrete are likely to occur.

Important Note	Mizone ® Floor Chapdur is a cementitious product and is therefore alkaline. Precautions should be taken to minimise direct contact with the skin. If material gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.
