TERRACO FLEXICOAT THERMO HEAT-RESISTANT PAINT

Terraco Flexicoat Thermo is an elastic acrylic waterproof coating. The product contains sparkling white pigments and heat-reflecting ceramic spheres that give the product reflective and insulating properties.

Terraco Flexicoat Thermo protects substrates by reflecting up to 90% of solar heat from the surface. Flexicoat Thermo has long lasting elasticity and is ideally suited for areas with harsh climatic conditions.

Flexicoat Thermo provides a heat and weather resistant elastomeric coating that can reduce energy costs (for cooling) by up to 40%.

CHARACTERISTIC

Terraco Flexicoat Thermo is a blend of weather resistant pigments, fillers, ceramic spheres and acrylic ester resins.

APPLICATION

Flexicoat Thermo is designed for use on roofs constructed from a wide range of materials such as concrete, lightweight concrete, tiles, wood, galvanized steel, asphalt and asbestos cement.

Ideal for use in areas where flat roof construction is used. Ensure a slope of 1:75 is maintained to avoid pooling.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING TERRACO FLEXICOAT THERMO HEAT-RESISTANT PAINT

Surface preparation

• Make sure that all dust, dirt and foreign matter are removed and cleaned.
• Also ensure surfaces are free of salt, oil, grease and roughness, and protect all adjacent surfaces not to be worked on.
• All cracks, voids and damage must be repaired with a suitable leveling agent.

Primer

If the substrate surface is porous, TERRACO Penetrating Primer should be used before applying Flexicoat Thermo.

Construction and cleaning tools

Flexicoat Thermo is applied by spray or brush, with an additional layer of fibreglass mesh in areas requiring reinforcement.

Allow to dry and apply another coat. Consumption rate should be 1.0- 1.5 litres/m2. Do not apply in rainy weather, as Flexicoat Thermo is not resistant to rain until completely dry.

Packaging and storage

Flexicoat Thermo is supplied in 4.5 litre and 18 litre plastic pails.

Products should be stored in a clean, cool and dry area, away from direct sunlight and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
