How to distinguish Loctite Threadlocker

Locite glue has 4 types classified by color to clearly show the ability to lock firmly: Green: used for small screws, screws inside laptops, screws next to glasses, carburetor adjustment screws... Purple: used for watch screws, electronic devices worn on the body Blue: is the most commonly used product. Helps increase the grip force of 26NM on the thread even when it is tightened to the correct force. Minimizes the situation of screws coming loose when the vehicle vibrates during operation. Red is the strongest type. Often used to lock threads in key parts of the machine. After dropping Loctite 263 glue on the surface of screws and bolts, it takes at least 10 minutes for the product to solidify. It takes 24 hours for it to completely solidify. The product can work continuously under a temperature of 300ºF (150ºC) without fear of re-liquefaction.

Instructions for using Loctite 263 glue

First, clean both sides of the adhesive surface with a specialized cleaning solvent and dry immediately afterwards. If the adhesion speed is slow, use the catalyst Loctite 7649 or Loctite 7471T .

For threaded holes, apply a few drops of glue to the threads in the hole. For threaded holes with a bottom, apply glue from 1/3 of the hole near the bottom.

For sealed welds, apply glue around the joint. Then assemble as required.

Requires heating when removing

The product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich environments. Or should not be used in welding connections with strong oxidizing material environments such as chlorine.

Notes when preserving Loctite 263 glue product

When not using Loctite 263 glue, you should store it in a suitable environment, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight. Because this can change some compounds in the glue. Affect the glue adhesion process when used. After use, clean the lid and close it immediately. Avoid direct air ingress affecting the quality of Loctite 263 glue. The product should be stored in a dry environment and at an optimal temperature of about 8 C to 21 C.
