MULTI-PURPOSE, NEUTRAL WEATHER RESISTANT GLUE
WACKER® WN is a one-component neutral silicone sealant with excellent adhesion to exterior joints and weather resistance with outstanding durability for a wide range of applications in the construction industry. Suitable for sealing joints and expansion joints in interior and exterior applications, ideal for aluminium wall joints, especially in alkaline environments (e.g. concrete or mortar) including aluminium panels and glazed joints or joints in the window area.
In addition to the ability to adhere to aluminum or composite panels, most exterior materials such as glass, tiles, ceramics, enameled tiles, painted or varnished wood, plastics and other metal materials such as steel, zinc or copper.

In aluminium, window and door applications, WACKER silicone sealants are compatible with a wide range of materials, even in extreme weather conditions or under conditions of expansion or vibration. STANDARD CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

• Step 1: Check the slot
– Check size
– Check the width and depth of the slot according to the calculation

• Step 2: Clean and dehydrate the surface
Clean dirt, dust, oil etc. and ensure surface is dry to avoid poor adhesion.

• Step 3: Add additional materials
– Use polyethylene or polyurethane foam as a filler material
– Keep the thickness of the silicone sealant uniform and use additional material in cylindrical or rectangular form
– When using additional material slightly larger than the slot width to avoid inconsistent depth.

• Step 4: Use tape
Use masking tape to prevent silicone from falling onto the outside surface of the slot.

• Step 5: Use primer
Use a primer as recommended by the silicone adhesive manufacturer to enhance adhesion when the adhesive strength of the silicone is insufficient.

• Step 6: Apply silicone glue
Cut the nozzle tip to fit the width of the slot then place the nozzle at the bottom of the slot and spray.

• Step 7: Rub
Remove internal bubbles using a squeegee and surface pressure until the silicone sealant fills in before it begins to cure.

• Step 8: Remove the tape after rubbing.

• Step 9: Finish, cut off excess silicone

• Step 10: Curing
Keep the glue clean, free of dirt and unmoved for at least 48 hours.

NOTES WHEN USING THE PRODUCT

– Should not be used in aquariums or underwater for long periods of time.
– Not suitable for food applications due to the slots being in contact with food
– Not suitable for plastic surfaces such as Polyethtylene, Polypropylene, ABS, Acrylic, Polycarbonate
