APPLICATION

CONSTRUCTION INSTRUCTIONS

SURFACE QUALITY / PRE-TREATMENT

Concrete and mortar surfaces must be clean and free from oil, grease and other loose materials. Absorbent surfaces must be thoroughly saturated before applying the first coat of Mizone ^® Top Seal-107.

MIX

Under normal conditions, when all 2 components are mixed together, a thick oil paste is formed. Mix in a clean container by slowly adding the powder component to the liquid component and mixing thoroughly with a low speed electric mixer (less than 500 rpm).

CONSTRUCTION

Apply the first coat of Mizone ^® Top Seal-107 onto the fully saturated surface by brush, wire brush or trowel.

Allow the product to cure for approximately 4-8 hours at temperatures above 20 ^o C before applying the second coat. When applying on floors, to avoid the risk of damaging the first coat, it is recommended to apply the second coat after approximately 24 hours. If the second coat is applied after 12 hours or more, it is necessary to moisten the first coat by suitable means, such as spraying. Please contact Mizen Technical Department for further details.

CURING / CUREMENT

Like other cement-based products, it is essential to cure Mizone ^® Top Seal-107 immediately after application, avoiding direct sunlight, strong winds and frost for about 3 to 5 days to ensure the material is fully hydrated and to limit small cracks.

Use plastic sheeting for maintenance or other approved measures.

CLEANING TOOLS

Clean all tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use. Cured material can only be cleaned by mechanical means.

IMPORTANT ATTENTION

Do not apply Mizone ^® Top Seal-107 at a rate of more than 4 kg/m ² per application.

Mizone ^® Top Seal-107 is not intended for decorative surfaces and may show white flecks in humid weather conditions. This does not affect the waterproofing properties.

Allow to dry for at least 3 days before soaking in water.

Always use Mizone ^® Latex or Mizone ^® Latex Plus bonding slurry to prevent blistering when applying the finishing/protective mortar over the waterproofing layer.

Always construct a sample area before mass construction.
