Application of Sika Grout 212-11/214-11:
Surface preparation for application of Sika Grout 212-11/214-11:
Concrete surface must be clean, solid, free of grease and other impurities.
Metal surfaces (iron, steel) must be free of rust or grease.
Absorbent surfaces must be completely saturated but free of standing water.
Mix:
The powder is slowly added to the pre-measured water to suit the desired consistency. Mix using an electric mixer with a mixing paddle at low speed (maximum 500 rpm) for at least 3 minutes until a smooth consistency is achieved.
Can use 2-way forced mixer type equipment
– Construction of Sikagrout 212 – 11/214 – 11
Pour the mortar after mixing. Make sure that all air trapped in the mortar is released. When pouring the mortar into the base, maintain a pressure column to keep the flow of mortar uninterrupted. Make sure the formwork is firmly erected and watertight. For optimum expansion, apply the mortar as quickly as possible.
Grouting the machine bases: Water thoroughly but do not allow water to pool in the bolts. If possible, grout the anchor holes first, then grout the base and keep the grout flowing continuously.
Pouring liquid mortar into the bottom surface: Water about 24 hours in advance, do not let water accumulate. Keep the hydraulic pressure constant to keep the mortar flowing continuously. Use a cable or chain to ensure that the holes are filled. Make sure that all air bubbles can escape easily.
Grouting large cavities/large volumes: Depending on the volume to be filled and the thickness of the gap, coarse aggregates can be added to Sikagrout 214-11 at a rate of 50 – 100% by weight of Sikagrout 214-11 powder. Round aggregates are more suitable than flat aggregates.
When pouring into areas greater than 60 mm thick, the use of additional coarse aggregate and/or watering will reduce the temperature generated during the initial setting stage.
Special iron anchor (anchor bolts are already in the basement)
Please refer to more iron anchor mortar products of Sika Company .
Sika Maintenance:
Keep the visible surface of the mortar as small as possible and protect the mortar from premature moisture loss by normal curing measures ( Sika Antisol E concrete curing compound can be used).
Toilet:
Clean tools with clean water immediately after use. Hardened mortar can only be removed by mechanical means.
Note:
Minimum working temperature is 100C. If working temperature is lower than 200C, setting time and strength will be slower.
Must comply with normal curing time of at least 03 days in places where mortar surface is exposed.
In case of grouting large cavities/large volumes, SikaGrout 214-11 is most suitable.
