Surface preparation

– The substrate surface must be clean, solid and free of standing water and surface contaminants such as lubricants, curing compounds and surface dust.

– Primer Add 20-50% water to Sikaproof® Membrane and mix well. Apply a primer coat to the surface using a brush or sprayer. Allow this primer coat to dry completely before applying subsequent coats.

– In case of porous and highly absorbent substrates, wet the surface first with water to avoid water stagnation.

Construction

Apply Sikaproof® Membrane onto a clean, primed surface using a brush or sprayer. When spraying onto the exterior of underground walls, ensure that the surface is covered with an even, thick layer and free of pinholes. For waterproofing, apply 2-3 coats. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.

Toilet

Clean hands and tools with water while wet and use kerosene or solvent when dry.

Construction Notes / Limitations

– As Sikaproof® Membrane is not UV resistant, exposed surfaces (such as flat roofs) must be protected with reflective paint or plaster.

– Do not use the product on surfaces subject to direct foot traffic.

– Do not use solvents to dilute.

– Once opened, the entire product must be used.
